Terms of use

1. What you receive

When you buy a plan, pack or financial model from Financial Models Australia, you receive a personal, perpetual licence to use the material for your own business or the business of your direct client. The licence covers editing, modifying and reusing the material within your organisation.

2. Resale and redistribution are prohibited

You must not, directly or indirectly:

• Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, share or otherwise transfer any plan, template, model, slide, document or other material purchased from financialmodels.au — in whole or in part — whether on a paid or unpaid basis.
• Repackage or rebrand our material for distribution to third parties.
• Upload our material to any public repository, marketplace, file-sharing service or AI training dataset.
• Use our material as the basis for a competing product, template library or model marketplace.
• Strip, alter or obscure any attribution, watermark, metadata or copyright notice.

Any of these actions constitutes a material breach of these terms and will terminate your licence immediately.

3. Use of the financialmodels.au name and brand

The names Financial Models Australia, financialmodels.au and financialmodels.com.au, along with our logo, branding and identity, are our property. You must not:

• Use our name, brand or any confusingly similar variant to market, promote or sell your own products or services without our written consent.
• Imply that we endorse, partner with or affiliate with your business when no such relationship exists.
• Register or attempt to register any domain name, trade mark, social media handle or business name that incorporates or imitates our brand.
• Use our name in any way that could mislead a reader about the origin, authorship or endorsement of a document.

4. No financial, legal or tax advice

The plans, models, slides and other material we sell are illustrative templates and educational tools. They are not, and must not be relied upon as:

• Personal or general financial product advice within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
• Investment, accounting, taxation, regulatory or legal advice.
• A recommendation to buy, sell, hold or invest in any business, asset or financial product.

Before making any commercial decision based on our material, you should consult appropriately qualified professionals — including a registered tax agent, licensed financial adviser, solicitor or chartered accountant — who can assess your specific circumstances.

5. Accuracy and warranties

We prepare our material carefully but provide it “as is”. We make no warranty that the assumptions, figures, projections or industry data will be accurate, current or applicable to any specific business. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude all implied warranties and accept no liability for any loss, damage or cost arising from the use of our material, except where such exclusion is prohibited by the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Your responsibilities

• Verify every figure, assumption and citation against your own data before relying on it.
• Maintain the security of any account credentials, download links and receipts.
• Comply with all applicable Australian laws, including the Corporations Act, the Australian Consumer Law, the Privacy Act 1988 and any industry-specific licensing your business requires.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at financialmodels.com.au/terms.html. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page with a date stamp.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
